About this centre
The Roysambu Study Centre was established in 2020, after numerous requests from the community for a Kumon Centre close to their homes and schools. The centre is strategically located just 20 minutes away from the Nairobi CBD. We are based in the peaceful, ultra-modern Mitundu Thika Road Chambers, just beside Gate C of Thika Road Mall. The building provides a well secured parking yard that is easily accessible from both the main road and service roads. The building provides around the clock security both inside the actual building as well as within the compound. The study centre itself is a conducive environment that supports learning.
The study centre aims for each child to become an independent, advanced learner, with a positive attitude to study. The unique Kumon Programmes pursue the potential of each child, developing their ability and nurturing their independence. Our centre welcomes children between the ages of 3 to 18 years. Once the child comes to the centre, we come together and help the child develop their ability to the maximum. Our highly trained staff assist each child while at the centre, closely monitoring their progress and enabling them to acquire knowledge above their current school grade level, thereby instilling confidence in them. The environment created is one where the child is able to express him/herself safely, and they are therefore willing and able to do more.
During sessions, the parents and guardians are able to wait in the waiting area, enjoy a walk, see to car care or visit the Thika Road Mall with its numerous entertainment facilities that are at their disposal.
You are welcome to make contact with us, and to come and enjoy this unique experience at our Kumon Centre.
From a young age, I was a mentor to children, and loved being a part of their growth. I am a patient person, and I am always amazed at the things that children achieve when they put their minds to it. I decided to become a Kumon Instructor so that I could continue to be a part of developing children’s abilities. I continue to be amazed when students are able to do things on their own, which they were not able to do before, by working through the Kumon Programmes.
When a child is able to figure out a new concept independently it is such a joy for me, and with Kumon, I get to experience this all the time.

Most Popular Questions
As well as developing key skills in maths and English, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.
