Kumon Jumeirah Village Circle Study Centre is the first-of-its-kind study centre in this amazing community; catering to children of ages 6 years and above, of all abilities and skills. The centre is easily accessible to the residents of JVC and surrounding communities.
We offer the Kumon Mathematics and English programmes which are suitable to all children by individualizing it to their needs. Through the Kumon Method we help build a solid foundation by identifying any gaps and giving children the tools they need to achieve academic success.
An initial assessment at the centre helps determine the child’s current ability and sets a starting point in the programme. The Kumon worksheets are designed to enable the children to work independently, thus developing in them the ability to become true self-learners. The study plan created for each child is reviewed and updated regularly by us to determine and maintain the ‘just right level’. Thus ensuring your child’s abilities are developed to the maximum. With our careful guidance, the children progress at their own pace and advance beyond school-grade levels with just 30 minutes of study per day per subject. Our goal is that they finish their work each day with a sense of accomplishment.
Parents have the choice to opt for in-centre classes or online sessions to suit their own or their children’s convenience. Regardless of the selected option, the programme produces the same outstanding results.
Dubai is the city that I have called home throughout my life, where I now reside with my husband and three children.
After a career in the oil & gas industry spanning two decades, when I decided to do something different, I knew it could only be for the development of children. My passion for working with children was something that had taken a backseat because of my career however, I have always wanted to do my part in nurturing children and helping them become self-dependent, motivated and confident. In this, I am very excited to bring Kumon into this community!
I initially heard of Kumon through my nephew who attended Kumon first in Canada and then in India, and I have seen firsthand the changes it brought about in him. During my training at Kumon, I met and interacted with children of different ages, and this only strengthened my resolve. Class after class, week after week, there were changes in these children bringing them one more step closer to becoming adept self-learners.
With my centre, I aim to bring about this change in your children, making it a happy place for them to come to and utilize their time thinking analytically, solving problems and experiencing the changes in themselves; always leaving the place with a smile on their faces.

Students can start learning with Kumon in Dubai from the age of six upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.
Kumon offers much more than extra lessons and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.
As well as developing key skills in maths, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.
Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.
Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.
As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
