About this centre

KUMON CONNECT available In-centre & Online Classes
We are looking forward to opening the doors of Kumon Sustainable City Study Centre soon.

The Centre is conveniently located in one of Dubai’s popular eco-friendly communities and easily accessible for the residents of the Sustainable City, Arabian Ranches, Layan, Mudon, Damac Hills, Town Square and Mira.

Children from 6 years and of all abilities are welcome to start their Kumon journey with us.

The structure of our Maths and English programs aims to help your child achieve their maximum academic potential, regardless of their age and the curriculum they are following.

Upon initial assessment, we will determine the starting point and a level that is “just-right” for the students to keep them motivated and challenged. Our instructors will carefully observe your child's progress and guide effectively throughout in-class or online sessions.
Your child has an option of working on paper worksheets or on tablet with a pen.

Kumon worksheets are specifically designed for daily self-study, and enable students to become more independent and self-confident learners beyond their school grade level.

Our goal is that each student finishes class with a sense of achievement, motivated for their next challenge.

About the Instructor

I can proudly call the UAE home as we have been living here since 2011 with my husband and three children.

Being passionate about education and teaching I pursued a career in this field since 2002. Through my experience, I have always been eager to explore different methods and approaches to teaching and learning. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with students of various ages, and it has been a fulfilling journey.

In the early 2000s, I heard about Kumon, its unique teaching method, and its effectiveness in helping students achieve their full potential. I saw Kumon books and was amazed at how thoughtfully they were designed. I knew that this was something special that I wanted to be part of.

When I discovered that Kumon had arrived in Dubai, I didn't miss the opportunity to become a trained instructor and now I am opening my own Kumon study center!

As a Kumon instructor, my aim is to nurture a love for learning and encourage children to become lifelong learners. I believe that every child has the potential to achieve their goals and dreams and I am here to support and guide them on their journey.

Popular Questions

Students can start learning with Kumon in Dubai from the age of six upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.
Kumon offers much more than extra lessons and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.

As well as developing key skills in maths, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.
Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.
Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.
As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
