About this centre

We are proud to open the doors of the first ever Kumon Centre in Pakistan. Our Kumon Math Programme aims to build strong mathematical foundations in children from ages as young as three years old going up to high school through daily practice.

The Japanese based method was founded in Osaka in 1958 and has now expanded to 60 countries. It is a self-study program designed to promote critical thinking and foster independent learning.  Alongside the Kumon Method, our intricately designed worksheet advances students’ abilities in the classroom and throughout life, enabling them to study above and beyond their own school grade level.

At our Centre, students advance through individualized instruction at their own pace, regardless of academic level. Methodically structured worksheets clarify concepts and offer opportunities for self-learning resulting in reaching a learner’s full potential.  Our approach neither pressurizes a learner, nor does it limit them to a high grade. With the ‘just right’ level of work for each child, the expectations are set and gradually raised according to the growing capacities of each student.

At our Kumon Centre, our focus is your child’s development from day one; to maximize his or her ability and to enhance confidence so that they experience the true joy of learning.

About the Instructor

Kumon is very close to my heart as both a parent and Instructor as I have experienced my own children flourish as truly independent learners through this method. Whilst living in Sri Lanka in 2016, all 3 of my children were able to exceed their own grade level within less than 12 months through their daily Kumon study which was simply amazing. The structured & individualized study plans for each of my children enhanced their confidence with a   "I-can-do-this" attitude. This experience left a meaningful impression upon me.

Upon returning to Lahore, I got to work at Pakistan’s first Kumon centre as the Head Assistant and I was amazed by the transformations in the Kumon students. Experiencing the joy, and self-reliance that Kumon brings to our students is truly addictive and I am eager to continue being a part of their journey. Nurturing and developing children to maximize their potential is my no. 1 motivation as a Kumon Instructor.

Being a silver medalist in my MBA (IBA, Karachi), I believe in nothing short of excellence. Whether it be working in the corporate sector or parenting, the sub-steps to high achievement fascinate me. Now, as an Instructor, I strive to make the learning journey of my students stress-free, where small steps every day make a huge impact towards achieving individualized goals and creating many 'wow!' and 'aha!' moments.

Let us learn and grow together!

Popular Questions

Students can start learning with Kumon from age two upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.

Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.

As well as developing key skills in maths, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.

Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.

Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.

As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
