About this centre

We are proud to welcome you to Kumon Park Lane Karachi Centre where every child has the freedom to learn at their own pace, and to fulfill their potential without being limited by the boundaries of conventional learning methods.

Our Centre provides the platform to promote critical thinking and foster independent learning in students from ages three years and up through the Kumon Mathematics and English programme.

At Kumon Park Lane Karachi, every student advances through individualized instruction at their own pace, under the watchful eye of our trained and experienced instructors. Methodically structured learning programmes, and the meticulously designed worksheets clarify concepts and offer opportunities for self-learning resulting in reaching a learner’s full potential regardless of their grade level. Our approach neither pressurizes a learner, nor does it limit them to a high grade, ensuring ‘just right’ level of work for each child, the expectations are set and gradually raised according to the growing capacities of each student.

At Kumon Park Lane Karachi Centre, your child's development is our core focus. We aim to maximize his or her learning abilities from the get go, in order to enhance their confidence and to provide a lifelong joy of learning.

About the Instructor

Ayesha Khan
I am an educationist by passion, and with a 15-year career and 2 postgraduate degrees in the same field, I truly believe that creating the right environment for children to flourish, is critical to their lifelong success. Over the years, I have found that students who were assisted to develop strong critical thinking and self-learning skills early in their education, carried these skills throughout their lives and were more successful than their peers. My faith in KUMON has grown stronger as I have firsthand seen the impact the program creates, helping children enhance not just in confidence but also their overall attitude towards studies. I foresee a lot more that KUMON can provide to children in terms of academic and personal growth, and this is my main motivation to bring this learning method to the children in my community.

My education and psychology background helps me in understanding children more than many other teachers. I am very enthusiastic to be a part of their journey of self-learning, providing them an environment that nurtures them to their maximum potential, without overburdening them. KUMON is not meant to be a quick fix, but a long-term learning goal where we achieve little milestones each day and thus grow together towards our true potential!
Every day at Kumon, I encounter many instances where children are full of joy, inner satisfaction and belief that they can do it on their own. I would love to create such transformations and experience of joy in learning for your children each day.

Popular Questions

Students can start learning with Kumon from age two upwards. We currently have students as young as two years old studying with us, ranging all the way up to those about to go to university; Kumon helps children of any age and any ability. The sooner children begin, the earlier they can start developing skills to gain the greatest cumulative benefit; as soon as you feel your family is ready to make the commitment to long-term study, Kumon will be ready to help you achieve your goal.

Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.

As well as developing key skills in maths, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.

Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.

Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.

As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
